How difficult is chem 6a for a non-science major? I’m going to have Sailor.

not an easy class but not too difficult. if youre confused just read the book and youre good.

It’s not inherently harder for you than anyone else. The class is nearly all freshmen, who come from the same level of high school preparation.

Sailor’s class is pretty okay if you stay on top of your game. His lectures are both informative and entertaining, and his weekly quizzes aren’t bad at all if you just study beforehand.

Even science majors probably have the same level of preparation coming into the class, so don’t worry about that. I had Sailor last year and I agree with orangeicecream. There are no midterms, only weekly quizzes. If you study each week it shouldn’t be stressful at all. Also, the class is surprisingly enjoyable. Sailor has a good sense of humor!

I had sailor too. I dont know about the other ppl, but i had to work my butt off the first 2 weeks because i didnt understand ■■■! My only chem class came from high school and it was in 10th grade, so i didnt even know how to do dimensional analysis T.T His quizzes were pretty hard for me in the beginning since I didn’t have a strong chem background from hs like other ppl. Even tho ppl say he’s easy, I only think so because they took ap chem or remembered their ■■■ from high school. Make sure to work ur butt off in the beginning. Near the end of the quarter his quizzes got easier cuz i started to know the material better and understand more.
