Chem H2A and H2AL

Can anyone tell me how “much harder” H2A is compared to Chem 1A/B/C? Also, I know Chem H2AL is a lab class…do the “length/effort” required for a lab report vary from teacher to teacher?

my cousin said roughly half the people got an A?

it doesnt go by a curve i dont think.

is that for H2A or H2AL?

h2a.

h2la, i have no idea.

“if half the kids” get As…then thank god. lol.

Are either of you Chemistry majors?

i heard it’s way harder

a lot of my chp friends switched from h2 series to 1 series

the only logical reason to take it is if you are a chemistry major
otherwise because of its nature as an introductory chemistry course, honors status is useless

Is it “significantly” harder than Chem 1A/B/C?

btw is chp stand for “honor” classes?

chp stands for campuswide honors program. you can find out more about chp here: http://www.honors.uci.edu/

I looked at the week 1 problems for both h2a and 1a from fall 2006 so you can judge yourself
1A: <a href=“EEE+ Home | UCI”>EEE+ Home | UCI;
h2a: http://e3.uci.edu/06f/40180/homework1.pdf

LOL, look at the difference between the two problem sets.

But i guess the h2a one does tell you everything you need to know on the page.

So Chp is an invited thingy? If you’re not in the program you can’t take honor classes?

sweetdream you can take placement test to get into chem h2a.

you can apply for chp after first quarter of freshy year

I just took the AP Chem test and got into H2A/H2LA…I was looking on EEE and the H2A course i’m taking seems a tad more advanced than what I did in AP Chem…like actually studying the equations and whatnot…but…oh well…gotta suck it up and study it.

You can get in with the score of AP Chem? Do you need a 5?

Either a 4 or a 5 will do.
