which of those is better if you want to pursue a career in medicine after college?

Well, you’ll have courses in anatomy and physiology under your belt if you go with BME, plus you’ll get more general experience with medical science. On the other hand, you’ll get more experience with chemistry (general, organic, analytical, and possibly physical) if you go ChE (an understanding of chemistry is very important to doing well in medical school, I think).

i personally think to go chem engr route. That way even if i don’t get accepted to med school i still have a decent job. i’ve heard that bio-med graduates have hard time finding jobs.

anymore suggestions

The BME curriculum allows you to satisfy more of the med school course requirements than the ChE curriculum (ie. biology-related courses), while ChE offers you more flexibility if you don’t get into med school.
