Chem series have to be taken consecutively?

Someone told me that the chem series (the one im taking specifically is chem2a, 2b, 2c) has to be taken in consecutive quarters, and if I took chem2a last quarter but can’t this quarter, then I have to retake chem2a again. Is this true???

It has to be taken consecutively as in 2a is a prerequisite for 2b, which is a prerequisite for 2c. In other words, you can not take the classes out of order (2a, 2c, then 2b)

You don’t have to take the classes in consecutive quarters. As long as you took Chem 2a at some point in time, with a passing grade, you do not have to retake it.
