chem vs bio at nwu

So I heard that bio isn’t as good as chem at NWU due to professors and course material. I want to major in bio and minor in chemistry, but I heard that courses such as Bio 210-1 (evolution/genetics) just aren’t interesting enough. I never really liked evolution in the first place, but I really like biochem and molecular biology, so I’m wondering if it’s possible not to take evolution/genetics? If I major in chemistry, I could take the courses I want in bio. I want to do research in biochem/molecular bio.

Or is it possible to delay taking Bio 210-1 to sophomore or junior years if I major in bio, since I want to take the courses I’m interested in first and that will matter when I apply to research internships.

No, you have to take it. Just suck it up. Delaying it is definitely possible- ask your advisor on campus or email a professor.

And FYI, its NU, not NWU.
