Chemical Engineering Community College Student Transfer Decision Help

Hello! I am currently a community college student majoring in chemical engineering. I goto a community college in southern California and I have applied to several UC’s and CSU’s.

I have received acceptances from California State Polytechnic University Pomona, University of California San Diego, California State University Long Beach, and University of California Riverside. I am also wait-listed for University of California Irvine.

I am leaning to transfer to California State Polytechnic University Pomona as it is in my vicinity and the school is reputable for its engineering program and recruitment. I do not intend to enter graduate school, and I intend to seek employment right after graduation, so that is why I am leaning towards California State Polytechnic University Pomona. I want to pursue in the field of renewable energy such as fuel cells, and I was wondering if I can get some inputs on which school can provide me with relevant experience in the renewable energy sector.

I know most might lean towards University of California San Diego as it could be said that it has the most prestige among the schools that I can into. However, I have found that University of California San Diego has poor recruitment for chemical engineering and its chemical engineering program is ranked the lowest within the University of California San Diego engineering majors. Which school can provide me with the most experience in renewable energy and employment? Thank you!
