Chemical engineering major?

How hard is it to get into Berkeley for a chemical engineering major?

relatively speaking, getting accepted to the ChemE program is NOTHING compared to surviving your 4 years as a ChemE major.

^That. Engineering in general is regarded as a “hard” field to study (workload, the breadth of things you need to study and consequently be fairly good at, etc.), but only Chem. E.s have to take 2 weeder classes in their first 3 semesters. If you’re in CoC, you have to start going pretty hardcore immediately upon entering Cal.

That said, great professors, great people, etc… Their method for handling advisor codes is stupid, but other than that…I mean, if you can handle the work, go for it.
