I am a high school senior and I recently got accepted to I.U. I am planning on majoring in chemistry and minoring in business. What I am wandering is how much essay writing is required in classes that go along with a chemistry major? Also, what about business that has a concentration in finance? I know that some of the begenning courses don’t really apply to the major as they are more weed out classes. So, what about those type of courses as well? (I know that in chemistry there will be lab reports and that sort of thing, but what I’m talkin about is like essays and that sort of writing)

The program LAMP may serve your interest:

Chem is a “hard” science major. There are multiple lab and general education courses that require report or essay. There is also a requirement of intensive writing for chem major in addition to the basic writing.

You should be able to find the business minor info from the following link.

[Minors and Certificate : Academic Bulletin](<a href=“Indiana University Bloomington”>Indiana University Bloomington)

The "real’ finance courses require “I-core”, which is not possible for a chem major to take.

It is, however, possible to get a finance major with a chem minor:

I’d recommend you look into the LAMP program as well, it’s amazing and I know several students who pursued the business and the chem side as well. You may also want to look into the Business of Life Sciences program if you’re biologically inclined as well
