Hi guys,

I’m self studying and wondering of I should use Chang’s Chemistry or the one by Brown/Lemay/Burston.
Which one is better overall? What are some individual strengths of each?

Thanks!

I haven’t used the Chang chemistry book, but I would HIGHLY recommend the Brown/Lemay Chemistry book. It is really easy to read, and I was able to pick up the concepts the first time reading it. It explains the material well so I would easily remember it. The problem sets are decent: some problems are meant for reinforcing the concept, but there are also harder problems that require a bit of thinking.
