An artifact which appears to be the handle of an implement, has been discovered in Egypt which seems to be of pharonic age. This means it is from the age of the pharohs, kings, of ancient Egypt. It is made of cypress wood. When carbon-dated, it gives only 63.2% as much beta radition as a piece of modern cypress wood under the same circumstances. How old is the artifact? How precisely can u determine it’s age?

just use half life of carbon to solve it

(1/2)^(x/5730)=.632 where x is age

I don’t about how precisely we can determine its age.

hope it helped.
