Chemistry in the South

I have seen, UT, Rice, and UNC on various lists about the best undergrad and grad schools for Chemistry. How do the rest of the southern schools check out? My D would of course be a OOS and would like a school under 10,000 students if possible. Studding Abroad and Undergrad Research are needs too.

I second the schools already mentioned. Duke has a very good reputation in the sciences, and their chem. dept. webpage has a lot of useful information, including research and study abroad:
[Undergraduates – Chemistry at Duke](http://www.chem.duke.edu/undergraduates/)

Centre, Davidson, and Furman also have very good chemistry programs.

UC San Diego
Texas A&M
USC
U Florida

On the small side, but what about Rhodes College?
