Chemistry lecture vs lab grade importance?

At my school they are separated into different grades with 3 units awarded to the lecture and 2 for the lab. The lecture is considerably harder to attain a high grade as opposed to the lab so I had to put a quite a bit of time into it. My question is which one is more important or looked upon for medical school or even other professional schools (pharm, vet etc.) and which class should be focused on more heavily?

I don’t know about one being more important, but for med school gpas are weighted by the number of credits, so your lecture grade will affect your gpa slightly more than the lab.

given that at many colleges/universities the lab grade is pass/fail or not a separate course I’m guessing that when evaluating a place which provides grades for both, the lecture is what schools put more weight into.
