Good morning. I am currently a sophomore undergraduate student who went in undecided but knew I wanted to do something in the sciences. I am leaning toward committing to a chemistry major and possibly going on to get a masters and eventually a PHD after working a few years. My concern is that I hear this major is very time consuming. The workload is heavy if I want to do it in the “traditional time” of a four year college degree. I currently also work to help offset some expenses…Though it is not necessary for me since my father will support me as long as I am passing my classes… I really want to know what is the time commitment besides class time and do you have a life outside of school and chemistry until you graduate?
