Chemistry vs Chemical Engineering

Hi! I am an international student who wants to pursue PhD in US. My BSc is in Chemistry - specialty Physical Chemistry and Theory. I have also taken courses in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (in the respective departments).
I would like to ask you for opinion - which is better-suited for a guy like me - Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. What are the main differences?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Chemical engineering is the application of chemical, physical and biological principles used to design processes.

Since your specialty is physical chemistry and theoretical physics, your interests may be best suited for a PhD in physical chemistry.
