Chicago Students, Help me Solve this Mystery

For those who are at Chicago or who have ever visited Chicago, you may have noticed the black, times-new-romanish writing in some of the stairwells in different buildings on campus. Eckhart Hall, for example, has the writing "illusion, the occurrence of illusions is not an, 20" -- Stuart also has some writing, though I don't remember what it is. Does anybody know what this is?

Yes, there was an article in the Maroon about it. It's an art project:

I happen to have a fondness for them. I see two every day-- one when I'm going into Harper Library and one when I go get coffee at the Div School.
