Chicago's Pritzker Early Acceptance Program

Does anyone have any statistics or information about the program? I have been able to find very little…

This information is from about five years ago, so it may be slightly outdated, but I can’t imagine there has been too much change. The above and more information can be found here: http://prehealth.uchicago.edu/handbook/eap.html.

The EAP program no longer exists, it has been replaced by the Accelerated Medical Scholars Program:

I was wondering why the name didn’t ring a bell and the description sounded so different than I had remembered. Thanks, Idad.

Does anyone have any information regarding GPA requirements, etc.

The GPA average for Priztker is about a 3.7, however, U of C students can be admitted with lower (they know what they are getting). As for the Accelerated Medical Scholars Program, the operative word here is “Scholars.” They are looking for more than GPA, they are looking for evidence of the potential to make a significant contribution to medicine beyond practice.

I think its great Chicago has such programs for its undergraduates. (There’s also something similar for the business school I believe.)
Man I hope I can get in as a transfer this year (I was waitlisted as a freshman. :()

If I recall correctly, I remember Libby posting something somewhere to the effect that about two students per year are admitted through this program. It’s a good thing to aspire to, but don’t count on it now.
