child smokes marijuana

a lot of these arguments point to not smoking pot now, not against decriminalisation. decriminalisation will allow the government to oversee its manufacture and distribution, ensuring a quality, non-toxic product.

moreover, while marijuana may be more toxic for you ounce to ounce than cigarettes, you don’t smoke as much marijuana than you do cigarettes. Nobody smokes the equivalent volume of a pack a day of marijuana. dude, nobody needs to get that stoned.

HUH? Where did you get that from?

Question for those who are against use due to the case that it is illegal. What if your child went to college in a state with medical marijuana and went and got a card from a prescribing Dr?

Of course! The best thing MLK ever said was that we have a moral obligation to disobey unjust laws.

In our system, that’s often the only way to change an unjust law: disobey, get caught, get prosecuted, challenge the law on Constitutional grounds, get the law overturned.

As far as the medical marijuana card, here in Calif. you can ride your bike down the boardwalk in Santa Monica and go to Dr. after Dr. who will prescribe it for a hang nail. Doesn’t mean a thing. Back to the original question: it was around when I was in school and way before that, and it is around now. I wouldn’t be happy if I found out one of my kids was smoking it regularly, because I have seen what happens to the really heavy smokers. They become lethargic, unmotivated, lazy, and fat. I don’t care what anyone says about the adictiveness and the effects, but I know what I have seen. That being said, I would not be shocked to find my kids had tried it. I know my oldest did and he told me that I would be happy to know that, while I might not be thrilled with why he quit, he no longer smoked it because it kicked up his asthma too much. Any reason for quitting is a good reason to me. My kids are all pretty motivated and I don’t think they would waste their time on it- I hope. For what it is worth, our “professional-type” neighbors in their late 50’s smoke it regularly with their kids. Needless to say my kids were not allowed over there when they were younger. Also their kids have all turned out to be losers. Who knows if it was the marijuana? Maybe they were losers anyway!
