<p>I’m not sure I go along with that line of reasoning. the Soviet Union became less troublesome when they couldn’t afford to keep up with us. Now that they are getting rich with petro dollars they are becoming more troublesome again. Likewise, a rich China is using some of its wealth to build up its military.</p>
<p>Russia still does not have a substantial export industry outside of the oil. China is now entwined with all the customer countries and will be co-dependent. There is always a market for oil but consumer goods require good relations in both directions. I prefer to see China as the next Japan.</p>
<p>oh gosh, my oh my, didn’t I say just that a few months ago and was blasted for saying China had problems…oh gosh darn</p>
<p>and China’s companies are entwined with the military, frought with corruption and have little oversite…AND they OWN us…can’t wait till they decide to call in the debt</p>
<p>and they have this much unemployment WHILE using slave labor…</p>
