<p>Is it possible to get an A? I heard it’s a lot of work. I have no experience with Chinese although I read, write and speak Japanese and the two languages share a significant number of characters.</p>
<p>1A is supposed to be for those starting from the beginning. Heritage speakers are supposed to start in a more advanced course, or the 1X or 1Y versions.</p>
