Chinese girl video!

Hi guys.

A couple of years ago, this Asian singer won an award for “Best Music Video”.

I have been desperately searching for it ever since but since I don’t know the namer of the artist (or the song), I was never able to find it.

I hope you guys can help!!!

It was like this:

There was an Asian girl singing (she might have been Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, I don’t know). She was pretty. Black hair.

The video was SUPER abstract. Everything was in a set. As she sang along, random people came in and took out random stuff off the set (i.e. a wooden cloud or tree). Eventually, her entire scenario changed completely. Her scenario changed ALOT throughout the song.

Like, first she would be singing somewhere (i.e. city), where you could tell everything was a stage. As she sang, the “behind the cameras” people would come out and take i.e. a building away and then put a wooden tree and stuff so that everything around her changed.

It was truly beautiful.

Do you guys know what I am talking about!!! THANKS!!!

could you have been more vague…lol

look up hyori lee…she’s the only famous asian singer i know…

The closest video to your description I’ve found is [Sakura Drops](http://youtube.com/watch?v=ixrTtK-tKtU) by Utada Hikaru. It doesn’t meet all of your criteria, but it’s beautifully abstract nonetheless.

Oh yeah, and it won “Best Female Video” in the 2003 [MTV Video Music Awards Japan](MTV Video Music Awards Japan - Wikipedia) event.

i thought a pretty asian girl with black hair was specific…

^lmao. (10 char)
