Vander has hot girls and ugly guys. Apart from Vander though, I don’t really know of any such places.

try www.theu.com…they rate everything in a school…from academics to how hot the student body is…im sure there are plenty of schools where the looks of guys and grls arent on par with each other…

Just to let you know guys, if I go to Vander, forget about, it’s off the hizzle; Vander all of a sudden has the highest rating for hot guys because of me. So don’t apply, me only, me only! YA YA YA!

Yeah, I know, but I watched Sin City (Jessica Alba City) today, can you blame me?

I knew that movies would destroy the world, ^^

what do ppl think of penn?

penn state or u penn?

u penn. I’m probbaly going to do something science-related (non-engineering), possibly pre-med. I’m considering Penn and Dartmouth right now. Both are very good, but which one is better for someone who is considering med school in the future? Money is no issue; both offered very generous packages. Penn has great access to hospitals, a great opportunity for research and good when u apply to med school. How about grade inflation (or deflation) at Penn and Dartmouth? Equally important is the atmosphere/student body on campus. Both advertise ethnic and socioeconomic diversity on campus, but after visiting Penn, I would have to say that it’s not completely true. This could be a stereotype, but there were a lot of white, preppy, frat-boy types and ugg-wearing sorority types. Also, a lot of HS seniors who visited came from the same ultra-expensive prep schools and knew each other. They seemed very preppy as well. Coming from a quirky, arts school, I don’t know how I would function in this type of environment. As I haven’t visited Dartmouth, I can’t really compare Penn to Dartmouth. Does anyone have accurate info on Dartmouth in this regard? My last concern with Penn is that it is much bigger compared to Dartmouth. Although people at Penn claim that class size is small and that there’s a community feeling within the large school, I can’t help but feel that Penn’s urban-ness and large size take away that community feeling. Coming from a large city, I really want a change so I’m thinking that perhaps Dartmouth is better for me. Can anyone comment on my concerns? Thanks a bunch.

hmm…maybe your description of the whole white preppy ppl at penn is a lil stereotypical…or maybe its true that penn does have a lot of those white preppy ppl…but on the other hand…ive heard that dartmouth is also a very “white preppy” college…i think its all up to you…do you wanna go to a relatively large college? and how do you feel about the weather in both penn and dartmouth? i kno new hampshire is VERY VERY cold…if you’re considering med school in the future…then i actually dont think either school is very suitable…brown actually has a very nice premed program…anways…i think you should visit dartmouth and compare it with u penn to see which one connects with you better…i think both have really great social environment…its up to you…

If you’re thinking med, go for Columbia the whole nine-yards, and then get a sweet gig at Presbytarian; that’s what my cousin did, and he doesn’t regret a thing.

Don’t u need to apply to the PLME program at Brown when you apply as a high school senior? Weather is no issue. I do like smaller schools. I can stand the cold, coming from Canada lol. I’m interested in knowing which school prepares students well/looks good on the application for med school/gives out fair grades (no grade deflation)/easy to get into med school?

i dont think gettin into med school would be a problem if you graduate from either of these schools…its gettin out of med school that you should worry about…

i want to know more about grade inflation or deflation for that matter at these two schools. As GPA is very important, maybe if one school gives out better marks, it’ll be better when i apply to med school in 4 years. Also, does anyone know the stats for the two schools? (how many people applied out of the chem/bio/science-related majors, and how many got in)

hi,we chinese guys ,assemble!

hi,we chinese guys ,assemble!

hehe, i am from Tianjin studying in Tianjin U

flycanada: are you planning on studying abroad?

Sup, I am from Da Lian, currently living in Hungary, most likely going to Boston U this summer.

inspike: wow…china…hungary…and US…all on different continents! i was going to apply to BU but i withdrew because i got accepted into my ED school: Cornell. I heard BU is kind of expensive…how much financial aid did it give you?

yunnii - they gave me $17,000 per year, renewable for 4 years, not that much I know since BU needs an input of $52,000. Yeah it is friggin’ expensive. I guess my family will pay for the first 2-3 years and I will have to figure out the rest myself. And I am going to the college of engineering as a “Engineering Scholar.” XD Guess I will have more opportunities to strike my way through.

It seems like that US colleges admitted much more Chinese students this year than the students last year…
