<p>They do… mostly MIT guys cuz wellesley “collaborates” with MIT on everything. Basically when we register for classes its sometimes even easier to register for MIT classes since all u do is fill out this form and get the “registar” to sign it. For some advanced wellesley courses you need the “instructor’s” signature… and its a lot easier to get the registar’s signature. The charter aka “exchange bus” stops at all the MIT academic buidlings and then at different main boarding campuses like frat houses and dorms… harvard… maybe back in the days. I have some friends dating harvard guys, but transportation is a lot less convienent unless you have a car since u’d have to take the subway to mit (which is like 2 stops so not too far) and then take the exchange bus. </p>
<p>i thought it was going to be a lot more frequent… but in reality… we dont get to meet guys that often. It’s either weekends or parties. and the guys you meet at parties arent really the ones u’d want to date. guys never come to wellesley during the day… mostly on saturday or friday nights when wellesley throw huge parties at the gorgeous society houses that no-one lives in</p>

<p>awesome long weekend… me, my textbooks, and chinese dvds. i dont mind studying if i can watch them… altho… this is taking longer than normal… </p>
<p>2 hours of normal studying, when added chinese dvds, becomes like 4… but then… i dont care if i have to study 10 hours if i get to watch them. 1 reason y i love wellesley: tons of tons of tons of chinese soaps. i finished 蛋白质女孩 and the entire new 天龙八部 with 刘亦菲… now im watching this soap that no one probably heard of: 天下第一情 with 陆毅… it look like it was filmed in the early 90s… like 1992 or something… and its so weird watching it cuz everything was so old, like shanghai… u know right now theres 3x as much buildings as show on the screen, and the computers are huge old things… before windows! 陆毅 looks extremely cute tho… since he’s so young. i like him a lot in 男才女貌 with 林心如… and in the movie he graduated from MIT! but 男才女貌 was made in 2003 and he had a laptop and they talked about GPRS… totally different.</p>
<p>old films are so innocent… and i kind of miss communism. i mean… its so innocent. i sometimes have a strange desire of wanting to live in a 2 bedroom apartment in china with a 阳台 and the rooms are all squarish with no special architectual characteristics except its a cement block. i would have a twin bed, my parents in a slightly bigger room with a queen, i’d have my desk, a desklamp, my books… their bedroom probably functioning as the livingroom, i really could care less… dammit i think i was brainwashed… cuz i remember while i was in china last summer my favorite buildlings were 人民医院 and 电信局 cuz those buildings were government built about 20 years ago… they’re just cement blocks with windows. all the new buildings are all flashy and stuff and u cant even see the cement… but the cement blandness makes the building look sturdy and longlasting. unchanged. </p>
<p>what i loved the most about 西安 was the clock in between the 市政府 and 省政府… EVERY hour without fail from 6am - 10pm it strikes. it played the same song for at least 20 years… way before i was born. so EVERY hour EVERY day u can hear 东方红 and then dong… dong… dong… comes the hour chime.</p>

<p>innocense is a bliss really. do people really know what they’re getting themselves into? i mean… there’s absolutely no philosophical ideas holding us back in today’s world. in ancient china, there was always buddahism and confuscism… they teach you not to put so much emphasize on materialistic goods. but now days… everything becomes consumerism. i mean… i feel sooooo SAD sometimes when i remember the me 15 years ago. i used to cherish my things. now its like… if i break something, if i lost something… if its not too expensive, i really dont care. u think to urself… what does it matter? u gain some u lose some. its about maximizing returns, but losses are unpreventable. so as long as u make more money, its absolutely fine to lose some. so if i ruined a shirt, ill just go buy another one. back in the days my mom knitted me sweaters… and they were unique cuz no one else had the same thing… and i cherished all my clothe even if they werent like fashionable… it was more about function. but now… even my roommates like… hey! whats the point of you wearing jackets if they’re all cropped! and like i have sweaters that stop at your ribs like a wrap, but then they make these tube things nowdays that cover up your stomach so its like a tunic that goes from your ribs to your hips… wth! why can’t they just make a shirt! and why do i own these things!</p>
<p>hey van! i think i saw that on the shelf the other day when i was going through everything! i will definitely watch it next…</p>
<p>me getting overwhelmed: oh no! i dont know what to watch next! i have in my possession at the moment: 金粉世家， 四大名捕，长征， 捕蛇行动，别了温哥华，北洋水师… must finish before next week!</p>
<p>thats more than 150 hours of soap… that would take more than 6 days if u watch 24hrs/day</p>

<p>haha xo u r so transcendent! I have the same feeling too. I mean we don’t just live for huge houses and nice cars. Happy and peaceful life, good friends, aren’t they the real purpose of our lives? </p>
<p>ok I am so annoyed by all these mails from some honor societies, asking for $75 lifelong memebership fee, one and another. Don’t they just want my money? I am so poor…</p>
