well, it’s probably going to be the language barrier thing blah blah. But i think that’s too typical for international students. So instead, i m going to write something about my passion in math and science, but the essay is going to make myself sounds like a big nerd. sigh

JinFX: at least i can get into the state college… If i go to CC, i can probably get a degree right now. :)

Oh…I dont know really…my mind hav gone wierd…u were talkin bout writin essay…sheesh n I thought that u r about to mention things here…haha…:p…
neway,no its not a good idea at all to write bout the difficulty faced by int’ls…it sounds very awkward…
Wat u can write is about ur passion,ur lifestyle,ur culture,ur enthusiasm,ur interests,…finally…URSELF…hehe…hope u got my point…:D…

This thread is huge compared to all the others I’ve been too but I guess Chinese are all very dedicated… especially when it comes to college. The further down I read, the more depressing I get. Right now I simply feel like a complete idiot compare to you guys. No wonder my friends are calling me abnormal Chinese- my math SAT is pathetic. = [ oh well, I guess it’s too late for me to improve upon anything. So I’ll just wait and see what happens.

By the way, are any of you living in china right now and are getting ready for the Chinese New Year? I left china a few years back and really miss all the festivities there. Right now I’m stuck in a really quiet American town, hearing nothing but the college admission process. haha…

Hehe…to b precise, there r already 14 threads of TiT(The Indian Thread…),n this one(which is in progress) is 15th…the real record breaker was TiT#14…with over 7500+ posts…This is wat happens when all ur friends are online at the same time…haha…

has anyone else been as crazy as me to take US History without any History classes but not Chinese( I’m even taking Chinese lit for IBDP)??? will a 650 on USH really hurt my chances?

I dont really know what is I485 since i’ve only heard of I1 and I2 before, but I’ll assume we are talking about similar things here. You should definitely mention to the admission committee that you are/about to be a resident. One possible way is to check the permanent resident box in the app without sending the copy of the green card. They will ask you for the copy later and hopefully you’ll have the green card by then. However I don’t know if this is the best approach. You should contact the admission’s office and ask for advice.

oh wow! this is a loooooooong thread! haha
