I have to take intro to analytical chem at UF and was wondering if you need Calc 2 for this class. I got an A in Calc 1 but heard Calc 2 was extremely difficult and don’t want to take it if I don’t have to, but I don’t want to be lost in chm3120 if advanced calc is incorporated. Any advice would be great :)

It doesn’t require any calc at all.

but i heard it was a really difficult course in itself. the teacher is supposedly really hard and is actually very sadistic… apparently she almost enjoys failing people.

Does anyone know if anyone other than Young ever teaches this course? I have to take it but I’d like to avoid her after all the things I’ve heard about her if at all possible, and I’ve noticed she’s been the only who who taught it for the past 2 semesters.

from what I can tell she’ll the only person that’s taught it… even during summer. I guess she’ll be there until she croaks
