A while ago, a parent was looking for a boarding school for a good violinist. I can’t find the post, but here’s an article about the Choate Chamber Orchestra:

Twenty-three members of the Choate Rosemary Hall Chamber Orchestra are heading to Washington D.C. to play at an invitation-only reception at The White House on Monday, Dec. 14. The group will perform holiday selections adjacent to the entrance to the President’s living quarters, said Director Philip Ventre in an article in Saturday’s New Haven Register.

The Choate Chamber Orchestra has performed in various venues, including France, Greece, Italy and China. The group will perform more than a dozen selections from Christmas songs to music by Bach and Mendelssohn. They will cap their performance with a fitting finale: “Let There Be Peace on Earth.”
