Hi guys I was waitlisted at Choate and had some questions about the waitlist. I know there’s a waitlist thread, but I just wanted to ask about Choate specifically.
I’ve looked through quite a few posts here and in other communities, but I haven’t seen many people getting admitted off the Choate waitlist compared to other BS like Andover or Deerfield.
I also heard that Choate admitted around 345 students last year, but closer to 300 this year, so I thought maybe there’s a higher chance of waitlist movement—but I’m not sure if that’s actually true. But at the same time, I’ve also heard that Choate admitted quite a lot of people this year, so I’m kinda confused now 
So I was wondering if anyone has experience being admitted from the Choate waitlist, or is there (almost) no hope? Also (tho it’s kind of late) would there be any more tips on getting off the waitlist except loci
I understand that it can vary a lot depending on the year and grade, but I’d really appreciate any insight.
