My son’s first choice of schools is NYU, but he is considering others because of the cost.
Here are the basics:
We live in NJ.
He is not sure what he wants to study but is leaning towards eventually working in the field of forensic psychology.
Accepted and narrowed the field to:
NYU- LSP—his first choice—no news on any financial aid yet, but not too hopeful
Fordham— decent merit money
Univ. of Delaware—VERY nice merit scholarship
The College of NJ (not really known outside of NJ, but is known as being quite selective)–no word on merit money yet

They are all excellent schools so congratulations. If cost is a factor, I would sit down when all the merit aid awards come in figure out which schools are financially do-able (taking into account that it sounds like grad school will be part of the plan). After that, I am a huge believer in going back for accepted student days at his top choices. We went back to three schools with my S and it made his final choice much easier. When you have four strong schools, there is no right or wrong choice - it is just a question of finding the best fit. Good luck.
