Choices

I was deferred last week from WASH U, my #1 choice and now I am lost, I applied RD to Northwestern, Emory and GW and am waiting for Michigan (completed 10/27) I have already been accepted to Indiana (Kelley School of Business) with a 24K scholarship, Penn St, Pitt and Tulane. At this point I am very unsure of what is to come and I could use so advice…

Low 90s avg (major upward trend-15 pt increase from 9-12), IB Diploma Candidate, Double Legacy Wash U, 670CR, 650M, 660 W (11 essay) (retaking 1/28), President of Model Congress and Debate Club, VP of BBG Chapter, Cello in Chamber Orchestra 3-11 grades, Editor in Chief of Newspaper, very competitive public school on LI. Please someone help, chances on the ones I’m waiting for as well as what to do if I am not admitted anywhere else

Congrats on IU! I got the same amount for the Faculty Award.

If you got into direct admit (which you qualified for), you could be getting more money from IU. What is your class rank? Check out their scholarship oppurtunities.

Indiana has a better UG business program than all your other schools with the exception of Michigan (uber-competitive). I’m not sure N’Western actually has a UG program, other than pre-Business.

I can say you have a good chance at Michigan - you applied early and you have a solid GPA. I doubt you get into N’Western. Penn State seems like an acceptance, as well as Pitt and Tulane. Don’t know much about Emory and GW admissions.

Is Kelley that much better than Goizueta? Maybe I’m just overall biased towards Emory, (I love ivory towers)!

About Emory, I think your chances are leaning on the lower end but not totally gone. Most if not all money is given in the Scholars admission round, and you need much higher stats for merit.

I would go along with th OP said, cross your fingers Michigan and Emory. I think your fine with Tulane, couldn’t tell you about Pitt and Penn. St… and Northwestern is not something I would count on.

Good Luck!
