Choosing a career

You know how people say you should major in or begin a career in something you’re skilled in or something that suits your personality, but is it a good idea to start a career in something you’re totally bad at but want to get better at? For example, I recently became interested in psychology but I am totally bad at keeping good social relations, have bad family relations and problems, am extremely stubborn and pretty much I carry all the personalities opposite to those of a psychologist and what they counsel. To be honest, I am probably in need of some therapy from a psychiatrist or some counseling from a psychologist myself. Because of this, I became interested in this field and hopefully I’ll be able to learn a lot and become something that I am totally opposite to.

Majoring in something and making it a career are totally different. Major in something you enjoy; you’ll get more out of it that way.
