Hello! I’m looking at buying an Under Armour replica football jersey for my daughter but don’t know what size. They come in men’s sizes and girls tend to wear them big. She’s normally a size 8-10 women’s or a medium in men’s tshirt. Thanks!!!
You should be able to buy a women’s size replica jersey. It will fit much better.

thanks for the replies! my experience so far is that the teen-early 20’s girls don’t want women’s cut things. they often only wear men’s cut tshirts, even when a women’s cut is available.
Is this something she will wear to a game? If it is, might want to consider a size where the jersey can go over a jacket. Or, if it is a Florida or Texas (etc) jersey, they might not need to wear a jersey over a jacket due to the weather.
and I agree that females have different opinions on women’s cut jerseys.
The safe answer is to ask, and then get that. It does ruin the surprise, but you know they are getting what they want. Or get a card that says you’ll get them one. And then you can ask about size.
Make sure you are aware of the return policy.
college girls tend to wear men’s football jerseys, not female-cut. They tend to wear them big, with leggings or norts underneath.
If you buy at a place with an easy return policy, I would buy a M and L, let her try on at Christmas, and return the unneeded.
@mom2coIIegekids It really depends on the campus. The look varies from oversize tops and Nike Tempo shorts to stylish women-cut tops with cute short skirts and plenty in between.
If you do an image search you can see what is popular at daughter’s school.
Being that OP said “girls tend to wear them big”, I’d say that mom2ck was spot on with the current trend. It may vary by campus, but I think that was the intended look. I think a L would fit best, but definitely buy both an M and L if you can.
The OP’s DD’s school is Auburn. I stand by what I wrote.
Are you buying one with a former teammates’ name on it? If so, and it’s Under Armour, then I think it has to be a men’s jersey.
