Hey, I have completed my undergrad degree in chemical engg. I am interested in 3d printing, graphic design, heat transfer, thermodynamics, liquid flow and animation. I wanted to know what major utilizes these keywords. I see myself inventing, developing & manufacturing a product which is sustainable and environmentally friendly. I want to know which MS program can answer this. I really need your help.
This is such an incredibly broad question that it doesn’t have a great answer. For one, graphic design and animation are essentially unrelated to the rest of your interests. You’d be better off keeping them as hobbies and just using those skills in the limited times they may be useful, such as when making presentations.
On the other hand, 3D printing, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid flow are all interrelated. You can likely find quite a few research groups at various schools working on additive manufacturing research that would check these boxes. Off the top of my head, I would think mechanical, chemical, and materials engineering would all be candidates for this type of research. There may be more.
Another poster was contemplating this program, it seems like it could be close to what you are looking for.
