Hi everyone!
I recently got accepted into the summer governor’s school in my home state, which is a month long program with other rising juniors/seniors. It’s pretty well established from what I can tell, but it isn’t at a great location and I’ve heard some mixed reviews from people who did it before. I think it’s more “prestigious” or at least “well-known” compared to the other program I’m considering, but I’m not sure.
I also got into one of the uchicago enrichment programs, which is a fully funded program through UChicago, but it’s only a week long. However, it would be in a new city (I’ve never been to Chicago) and they’re paying to fly me out, so it would be really cool to explore If I did this program, I would also have time to have a summer job that I’m really excited about, but I’m worried about a week being too short to get to know other ppl/learn more stuff. I also feel like this program may not be as well run because I’ve heard less about it and the overall application was really vague.
Both are in my area of interest, and I’d be really excited to go to either one.
I was wondering if anyone had experience with either of these programs (and this isn’t the main factor, but I still wanted to consider – which one would be more helpful for college apps/future stuff)
