Choosing classes for college?

I am looking at my graduation requirements, and trying to decide what classes to pick for my freshman year.

What the following mean?

Common Body of Knowledge
36 hours
These are must required courses right?

Courses required in major,
not included in core
19

Since I am studying Finance. This means in addition to 36 hours of must courses, I need to take an additional 19 hours of Finance electives?

General electives
7

Any class fits here? For general electives?

Thank you

I think you got it. “Common Body Of Knowledge” sounds like a fancy term for “gen eds” or “core requirements.”

Those 19 hours are your major courses. I’m not sure if it’s 19 hours of Finance or 19 hours of Finance plus other business courses (for instance at my uni we have a “core” for business majors in addition to the concentration-specific classes). And general electives are anything.
