another choise is santa barbara community college,it has no housing,but it has listed some property on their site.but commute seems to be a issue,unless there is some closer housing option under 8k per year.

I would prefer to spend more time in each of my classes, as I often feel that I peak a week or so before the quarter ends, but understand the feeling of juggling too many classes that some associate with semesters.
I have a few friends who live on-campus at EdCC and really enjoy it, but most of the people I know who go there have found other housing near campus and seem to prefer that.</p>
