I am currently deciding on what to major in at Emory University.
I plan to do pre-med. I am considering majors in Chemistry, Biology, and Environmental Studies.

Biology
I am really interested in the area molecular biology which includes genetics, genomics, and computational biology. I have heard that the future of medicine is really shifting towards this aspect.

Environmental Studies
I am interested in environmental health. I read that you can make a concentration on Environment and Health in Environmental Studies major. I have done research internship in this area.

Chemistry
I feel that Chemistry is a broad subject, which falls into both life sciences and physical sciences. I think that can be very good for the MCAT which has these two sections. I like general chemistry, but I am not sure how organic and other in depth classes will be.

People say that it usually does not matter what you major in. But I want to choose a major which prepares me well for the medical field and that I enjoy.

If anyone is planning to major in any one of these areas, can you give me the pros and cons of each (difficulty, quality of professors, curriculum, research opportunities, etc).
