North Carolina does not have a great selection of “B-Student” colleges for my major. North Carolina State and especially UNC-Chapel Hill are VERY difficult to get into. Some of my friends last year were denied with 3.6s and 3.7s.

And also, I thought Stony Brook was mildly difficult as well. Thank you guys for your inquiries, I’d love to see some more advice.

I’ve recently learned that altho Alabama doesn’t require an essay or teacher recs for admission, if you’re concerned that you might be “borderline,” Alabama will give extra consideration to those students who submit an essay and/or teacher recs.

I don’t know if there is an essay prompt, or if they’ll just accept any essay that you may have written for an English class as a writing sample. I’ll try to find out and post here for you.

Alabama has an awesome campus (was there today!) - strong academics, super facilities, and very nice dorms. Oh, and it has a football team ;)

The school isn’t ranked very well. Is it worth it to spend so much money on a third tier school? Just wondering? You could go to a better school. You’d get accepted to a better school. :)

What are the facilities like? What is the housing like? Would the school provide a “full campus experience” for you?

I hope that you apply to The University of Alabama. Better ranked school, awesome campus, incredible housing, etc. If you apply now, you will get accepted. If you wait until later, your chances will weaken.
