If I ever get into the College, I’m going to try to participate in choral music program. But I just can’t seem to find any information about what groups exist for vocal music - like choirs, choruses, etc. Anyone have any information?

This from the Music Department page at the D website:

The Music Department is located in the Hopkins Center.
Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 AM to noon and 1:00 to 4:30.
It is not necessary to be a Music major to participate in our program or use our facilities. Many of the students who are involved in the Music program are only involved in a performing ensemble; many just use our practice rooms to pursue their interest in music on an independent basis.

The Music Department at Dartmouth has an illustrious history of important faculty and a long tradition of fine musical performance and scholarship. Dedicated to both the understanding and the making of music, students may avail themselves of a wide range of courses in theory, history, ethnomusicology, composition, performance, and electro-acoustic music.

The Music program serves a wide range of undergraduate students, both majors and non-majors. In close collaboration with the Hopkins Center, students may perform in a number of diverse ensembles, including the Barbary Coast Jazz Band, World Music Percussion Ensemble, Handel Society, Chamber Singers, Glee Club, Dartmouth Symphony Orchestra, Dartmouth Wind Ensemble, Gospel Choir, and Marching Band.

In addition, there are a number of student directed ensembles devoted to musical styles ranging from bluegrass to chamber music, a cappella singing to contemporary music.

Hey, Thanks!

No problem. The homepage is deceptive - there is a lot of information to be found once you start digging! The various choral groups seem to be popular.

join the Chamber Singers!
