<p>Chris is an American, turning 42 next month, and he just won this race. As far as I know, he has never been suspected of doping. I hope I’m right. That one can do such a race at that age, over three weeks, my hat is off.</p>

<p>I’ve been reading Tyler Hamilton about the Tour de France and doping in cycling in general. I’m having a hard time being optimistic that doping in cycling has ended, but I sincerely hope I’m wrong.</p>
