I love the Neiman Marcus set and the Lenox winter song. I have some of the night before Christmas plates- would love a few more. Also goodwill finds.

I love Spode, but could not afford it, so I started collecting Holiday Hostess when I was a newlywed. They were sold at Montgomery Ward and Target! I only use them on Christmas Day.
My grandmother and great aunt both had massive collections of Friendly Village, but they wanted my brothers to have them. Both brothers are single and couldn’t care less about fancy plates. I don’t know what they did with them. I have four sets of dishes plus Corelle that I use every day. I love dishes, but have no room to store them.

Do not look at Lenox dot com site! It is a black hole. It sends you a 30% off email… off everything. I needed Champaigne flutes, and they had them for about $4 apiece after the discount. The flutes had those birdies on them… Long story short, Mr. B will be eating off those red rimmed plates with birdies soon. I also got Chirp coffee mugs in his favorite size - 16 oz. :)

I have a small set of Christmas “china” which I bought on sale at CVS about 20 years ago. Alas, it is only service for 4. We always use it on Christmas Eve but now we have a family of 5 and also have possible BF’s coming to Christmas Eve dinner.

I also host DH’s family for Christmas Day dinner and for years have been using an all white stoneware that looks a little more special but I have really wanted some Christmas ware. This year I purchased the Snowflake pattern of Corelle (also liking the durability and light weight) as open stock from Target. Since I really don’t need the matching bowls I thought this was the way to go. However, now I am in a bind as I want matching coffee mugs and purchasing the Red Corelle ones is going to cost me more than the price of the two sets of plates (I bought 24 each) combined.

I did want to mention that Target does have the Corelle Christmas patterns as open stock though in case anyone was interested.

^ Also at an extra 10% off at Target.com for a 72 hour sale. :)

Lenoxdotcom gets me, too! Must. Not. Look. At. More. China!
