<p>Sorry if I should have posted this in computers, I’m still new to this and am thinking I will get more feedback here.</p>

<p>I want to get my daughter a Kindle Fire or Nook for christmas. I would love to get her a new Ipad but you know they are expensive… A co-worker of mine got a new Ipad and has offered to sell me her original for $200. She has a protective cover and the original box and I trust that if she says its like brand new then it is. Should I grab this deal? Or is it obsolete? I really have no knowledge about these things.</p>

<p>Price of iPad2 will drop soon, when iPad3 is released. Not sure it will be in time for Xmas though.</p>

<p>That’s a good price. The going price for a refurbished IPad 1 with 16GB is $300. The IPad 2 is lighter and more streamlined, slightly faster chip.</p>

<p>If the regular iPad does what you want for a reasonable price then it’s not obsolete.</p>

<p>I’m still using the first gen iPhone 3G. Some colleagues asked (teased) me about when I’m getting a new one but this really does everything I want it to do so I have no motivation to spend money for a newer device that provides little added value to me.</p>
