Chspe = Harvard Acceptable?

I qualify to take the California High School Proficieny Examination (CHSPE). In California, 16 year old students can take it after their sophomore year in high school. For universities under CA law, it is the equivalent of a high schol diploma, but it does not mean that all of the required classes to get a high school diploma were taken. It can be taken by minors, though, unlike a G.E.D.

Frankly, I am tired of the strict rules about which classes I can or can not take by my high school and I do not want to transfer to another high school. I want to take the CHSPE and go to a community college for two years instead of 11th and 12th grade, even though I will miss high school life. Then, transfer to a university. (of course, though, I will take the SAT if I can, take the required courses for the university, maintain a 4.0, etc.)

What I would like to know, though, and have been unable to find is whether or not ivy league or top schools such as Stanford, Harvard, Brown, Yale, etc. accept the CHSPE.

Do YOU recommend that I take the exam or just go on with the next two years of high school?

If you would rather reply at an e-mail, my e-mail address is

Thank you.

I would definitely email an admissions rep to ask this question. It would 1) demonstrate your interest in the school, and 2) get you a legitimate answer.

Most schools have some sort of admissions contact email on their websites if you search for it

It’s no good for Princeton; you can’t transfer into Princeton from a college for now.

okay, thanks.

I’m going to wait for a few replies from schools, and then research a bit more. Thank you both.

how do you find emails of admission officers?
I seem to be unable to find them online.
For that matter, how do you find emails of college sports coaches?

i sent you a PM. feel free to ask me anything.
