A close friend of mine who I met at University, just this year actually, and I both share an interest in cigars. We enjoy discovering new cigar brands, tasting different flavors, learning about different regions where cigars come from, and simply take pleasure in smoking them.

We have had this idea to make our enthusiasm of cigars into an official club at our University. However, one concern of ours is how to present this idea to the committee who oversees the development of new clubs.

I’d like your thoughts. Would a college likely allow something such as a "Cigar Club’ to exist at a University?

I’d be happy to share more about our ideas for the club, although there aren’t many details as this is still just in the ‘idea’ stage.

It depends how your university sees things. If you go to a liberal campus, then it should be fine. The aforementioned is correct, make sure you meet at a smoke-friendly spot and all members are “18+”.
