<p>Does anyone know about this scholarship. My D is invited to attend cincinnatus competition next month (FEB 09)… but still waiting on UNC input on Robertson Scholar. Would like helpful input on either… thx.</p>
<p>I can only give input on the Robertson. My main comment on it is that it is truly far more than a traditional scholarship. It covers tuition and fees, room and board, books, a laptop, and living expenses for all four years. But it also offers funding for three summers of internships/research/travel as while as funding other opportunities during the year (e.g. academic conferences). Just as important, it includes strong advising from staff members who are deeply committed to helping you achieve your goals, and who help you make the most of all of these incredible resources available to you.</p>
<p>One logistical note: the program will not notify people who are advancing in the selection process until the end of February, when it will send both an email and a letter via FedEx to those who are being invited to do phone interviews.</p>
