I recently heard that there is a man who hovers outside the University bookstore protesting against circumcision. I’m intrigued. Does he actually exist? Has anyone run into him before?

i wonder if that’s an urban legend they tell to prospies…

lol

Yes he does! He has a great rant about it (although, as I recall, it didn’t make a great deal of sense). I am not sure if he’s there anymore, but was in 2005 when we attended Family Weekend.

Yeah, he’s still there. He just came back out for Spring a couple days ago. I’ve never talked to him, but he’s supposed to be a reasonably nice guy. He’s not a crazy homeless person or anything. He skips winter and days with bad weather, but you can usually see him out there.

I agree with him. Circumcision? I don’t see the point.

It’s actually a pretty cutting-edge issue.

touche.

…

my friend has talked to him at length. he’s a nice guy.

well on the point of circumcision, you can’t get cancer of the forskin (actually a fact). also, its kinda required to be a jew… and it feel better for the ladies

Yes, do it for the ladies.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

^ ya, i read the article in the Times magazine about that. definitely a compelling argument for circumcision

sorry for my ignorance, but what’s the argument against it?

[edit] nevermind. I read the little news atricle about the guy and his spiel.
