First semester i received a D for citizenship in my first period due to excessive tardies (around 15 tardies). Will this affect my college admissions?

The grade will.

Yeah. A D regardless of the class will affect your chances. Citizenship sounds like an academic class so that will hurt you more than if it were a less academic one

It is not an academic grade, citizenship grade is the grade for behavior and stuff. Academically i received an A in the class. It’s just that i was late so many times and each tardy affects the Citizenship grade.

Is it a grade in the class (that gets factored into your class grade) or a separate grade on your transcript?

I don’t think it would hurt as much if colleges can see that it was for tardies and not for bad behavior (like mouthing off a teacher or something). I don’t know though. I’ve never heard of a school offering a citizenship grade.

Ask your GC if it gets included in your GPA or is just a stand alone indicator.
