civil eng or eng physics to become an engineering manager?

Hi, i am really interested in becomming an engineering manager, but im having trouble deciding what road i should take in order to pursue my dream.

My main question is: should i undergrad in civil engineering, or engineering physics?

I can always attain my masters for engineering management after i undergrad, so would eng physics or civil eng bring me closer to that step?

thanks!:]

Both would…However, I would recommend getting a degree in the more traditional/terminal engineering disciplines like civil, mechanical or electrical.

If you love buildings and architecture, I’d go the civil engineering route. Do what interests you.

I don’t think the Engineering Physics degree is as employable because employers are looking more for the traditional disciplines. Engineering Physics seems more focused for students interested in a more academic route.

Get your degree, then work a couple years, move up, and then go for the Engineering Management masters. Your employer may even help pay for it.

thank you so much! this really helped[:
