Clark Scholars 2010!

maybe College-goer got this confused with another program…but the numbers seem to match (only 180 – i thought it was more than 200).

So things are coming by snail mail, not email?

For the last time… everyone got it in the email on April 18th last year. Don’t panic.

nirvanatear, that’s just mean!

We got ours by email last year in early May. I’m surprised you guys are getting anything by snail mail. I only ever got one piece of real mail from Clark Scholars, and that was after the program. They might be doing semifinal cuts right now, I guess. That happened around this time last year. Anyway, it seems the admissions rate has dropped quite a bit…

@tito777: what are you talking about. i got the rejection letter from clarkscholarprogram. how the heck would i get confused about the places that i’ve applied to if i spent so many hours on each and everyone of them.

proletariat2, clear your PM box please.

Done! Sorry about that.

Yeah, sorry about that College-goer I didn’t mean you got confused about the place but the thread. I was just putting that out there since I’ve posted on a wrong thread by accident before.

Hey, perhaps Clark went college-descisions-like because of the large number of applicants.

college-decisions-like how? also, if they meeting to discuss applicants, do you guys think i should email them about the science fairs i’ve been accepted to? or would that be like bothersome?

Submit an update if you want…it can’t hurt. Really, it’s your judgment.

grr rejected from SSP… so I have virtually no chance at Clarks. Good luck to everyone who receives the phone call/email! I believe last year… the semi-finalists were announced on April 18th, right proletariat2?

Yeah, we got semifinalist notifications on the 18th by email.

Good luck to all of you!

I just asked my mentor and he said they have just started discussing…it’s weird people already got it in the snail mail…By the way iceui2, I applied to SSP by the first deadline but was rejected, and ultimately accepted by Clark, so you just have as good a chance as anyone else!!

I still haven’t gotten a letter yet. I hope that’s good news.

I think the majority of people havnt heard back

Hm. Nobody should have heard back by this point. Again, they hardly send anything through normal mail, so if they made semifinalist decisions everyone would’ve gotten them, which clearly isn’t the case.

I should stay away from the TASP thread. Every time I click on it I feel a new rush of heartache.
What are your backup plans, fellow applicants?
proletariat2, are you doing anything special this summer?

Hoping to get into Weizmann ISSI. nirvanatear already got in, because Canadians have a slightly different application process.

I got my rejection letter today. For those of you wondering, it was around a 6-7% acceptance rate. Oh well, I guess I’ll be going to SSP for sure now!
