Starting a Clark Class of 2028 thread for EA/ED decision.

My S24 received a note today that a small batch of decisions were released but more will roll out through January.

That’s awesome. congratulations!!!

Congratulations !!!

Received below email. Do you think they will release any further result this year?

Tonight we released some of our Early Action decisions electronically. You may have heard about these decisions from your classmates or peers on social media. While we have not completed reviewing all Early Action files, we were able to process a handful before our winter holiday break, and we decided to give those applicants their decisions.

If you have not received your Early Action decision yet, it is not a sign that your application is in trouble; we received a record number of Early Decision I and Early Action applications this year, and we may not have reached your name in the pool. We estimate being able to release the rest of our Early Action decisions by the end of January. Any items listed as missing must be received as soon as possible. We will not be able to release a decision in January if your application is not complete.

Congratulations!

i think last year they did a second wave in january?

My son also was admitted EA with the Traina for 30K/year! It came as a huge surprise and great news! As he had just a few hours earlier heard bad news from Brown. So exciting!!

Congrats!

S24 got the same email. I read it to mean they are taking a break for the holidays and the rest will come in January.

S24 applied early in October and is a very strong candidate, so I was surprised that they hadn’t evaluated his application in the early cohort.

S24 has crossed Clark off the list due to other acceptances, so I didn’t look too closely at when in January they announce the second wave.

same thing here about the bad news from brown haha

That’s funny! I guess you and my son have the same tastes! He also is applying to Carnegie Mellon, Tufts, Wesleyan, Amherst and Oberlin College and Oberlin Conservatory. He loves Clark tho so he dropped a few other schools after this news. Any other overlaps?

  • still deciding on CMU as they don’t have my major, and also still deciding on amherst
  • tufts and wesleyan are both on my list!
  • applying to kenyon over oberlin as i went to a summer program at kenyon and loved it, but they definitely have similar vibes!

I was expecting D24 to be in the first round of Clark acceptances, as she is high stats, but she only received the email about the remeaning acceptances coming out in January. Its all fine though, as she will be pulling her application this weekend. Interestingly, her college list was similar to both yours @halyardic and your son’s @CJTwinMom, with Clark, Tufts, Brown, Kenyon, Wesleyan, among others.

Amazing! I went to Kenyon. I can’t say enough good things. It’s too rural for my son. My daughter (his twin) loved it but she got into Middlebury, her ED.

That’s too bad maybe they simply ran out of time…I had forgotten there was even a possibility of hearing sooner so was a total surprise. Yay Kenyon! (I am an alum.)

Congratulations !

I was hoping to get the result month, so that we can recalibrate our list for RD.

Some more thinking and work to do now!

Yes, that was helpful to hear this news and trim down his list a little. There is so much strategic thinking with all of this! Having twins, I have been up to my ears in it. I hope you get good news in Jan! Maybe you will get it before some of the apps are due…like maybe it will be out before the 15th…

Can understand and relate to very well.

My DD is very keen for Clark because of their game design course.

Decision now would have been very helpful. Have to now rummage through the list now to get some reach/safeties sorted
