Hey guys, quick question. I’m trying to find the equivalent of a CC course at a UC and CSU. I’ve tried assist, but maybe I’m not doing it right?
Basically, there’s a summer English class I might take but I need to find out what the English class number is at a UC and CSU. How do I find out it’s equivalent there?
Ex: English 101 at CC is the same as English 3 at UCLA. I need to do this for another English class at CC.
From where to where?
There are two English courses being offered this summer at an LA community college, Eng.214 and 270. I need to find out the equivalent at UCLA, UCI and CSULB. How do I do this?
I’ve been playing around with it, and I can’t seem to figure it out.
Does it come up if you are looking at the prereqs?
Yeah, been looking everywhere for it. How were you looking for it? What part of assist? Thanks for your help. 
I was hoping that it would come up in the transferable list of classes, and show the equivalent at the UC but CSU.
That didn’t show anything, so I’ve been trying to see if they show up on the articulation agreements.
If you can’t find anything concrete that articulates, the may need to just match course description with course description to find equivalents. Any course which doesn’t naturally articulate, make sure you save the course description and syllabus, because you’ll likely need it to petition for credit.

@fullload just curious, why would you take lower division classes this summer? You need upper division classes since you’re transferring in the Fall. Do you need the lower division classes to complete an AA?
It appears to me the equivalents can be:
For Eng 214, UCLA English maybe 88J or 85 or 80; UCI and CSULB, I don’t see a lower division equivalent.
For Eng 270, UCLA, UCI, I don’t see a lower division equivalent. Right, the confusion was, I’m trying to figure out if these are two upper division classes being held at CC for some reason. I would take them if so, but I’ve never heard of upper division being offered at CC, that’s why I came in here to check if anyone could help me find out.
Correct, CCs don’t offer upper division classes. The course equivalents I mentioned are all lower division at those schools. UCLA has an upper division Sci-fi class, Eng 115E, but they won’t take the LACC Eng 270 for it. Good luck!
