Class Of '08 Applicants for NYU!

<p>Hey all, I thought I could start a thread about all the Juniors (er…Seniors now!) who are planning to apply to NYU! I can’t believe its finally our year, and it definitely makes me nervous. So tell everyone something about yourself! Why you like NYU, if you’re going to apply early or reg., what school you’re aiming for, etc. </p>

<p>I’m planning to apply early decision to either Gallatin or CAS, but can’t really decide. I’m from California, and most people in my school tend to stay in CA, so it makes me wonder why I differ from everybody else. Haha. What about all of you?</p>

<p>heyy!! bay area too! west san jose/ cupertino area. hahaha. yeah, i’m applying to scps, even though ppl think to think of it not on par with the rest of nyu, i’m interested in hopsitality…a.nd i don’t think i could get into stern. So…yup!!</p>

I thought about applying earlier too, but after reading what I have about NYU financial aid (thanks CC!), I just don’t think I can afford to pigeon hole myself. Hopefully we’ll both be able to bring the best of the drinking town with a football problem to NYC though :D</p>

<p>I guess I’m the only one representing Texas. I aim to get into CAS and major in Journalism - applying RD in hopes of bringing up my less than admirable GPA. See ya’ll there.</p>

<p>How does Gallitan (sp?) work? Do you need to fill out a proposed plan of study when you aplly? Can you take classes at near by schools? I want a major in fashion journalism (don’t laugh someone has to do it) and I’d love to take some classes at F.I.T. Do they help you get apprenticeships in your area of study?</p>

<p>I’m a Floridian applying to CAS and thinking of majoring in Linguistics. Also interested in Tisch’s film and photography programs, so I might try a double major if I get in.</p>
